Versa Apartments: Branding

Named for its playful parodies in offerings—active yet relaxing, playful yet calming, inclusive yet personal—Versa embodies the flavor of Indianapolis with its mid-century modern appeal. I helped to establish initial branding concepts with the ever-fabulous Brand Hatchery.

 

 


Concept #1: Retro Star

This concept leans heavily on the geometric aspects of Mid-Century Modern pattern trends, with a logotype that similarly embraces the era’s signature negative spaces, and conceptually uses positive/negative duality to reflect the namesake.

 


Concept #2: Visa-Versa

This concept plays off of the grammatical “or” slash as a nod to visa-versa, integrating it into the ever-present MCM aesthetic of the space with a cleverly reflective and symmetrical logomark.

 
 

Concept #3: Airy & Chic

Using a more boho-infused interpretation of MCM style, this concept brings a lighter, more airy approach to the brand, with subtle geometric shapes throughout.
